Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Materials, Institute on Guardianship and Conservatorship
In 2019 the Iowa General Assembly unanimously passed and the Governor signed into law major legislation (House File 610) governing adult guardianships and adult and minor conservatorships and legislation (House File 591) governing minor guardianships. The new guardianship and conservatorship laws incorporated and reflected the legislative recommendations of the Iowa Supreme Court Guardianship and Conservatorship Task Force. After the enactment of the 2019 new guardianship and conservatorship laws, the Institute on Guardianship and Conservatorship, a collaborative effort of the University of Iowa and the Drake University law schools, sponsored three education programs about these laws. The materials for these educational materials are set forth below.
